Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Haywood Badger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Temitope Obama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Temitope Obama will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Haywood Badger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Temitope Obama!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obama misses with a body shot.
Badger is looking to counter punch.
Obama lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Badger circles away quickly and effectively.
Obama is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Obama throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Badger lands a nice leg kick that just misses Obama's sensitive parts.
Obama throws a combination that misses
letting Badger counter with a right hand.
A combination from Obama does no damage.
Badger swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Badger uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Obama fails to land the takedown.
Badger digs a good hook to Obama's body.
Badger moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Badger throws a push kick but Obama slaps the foot to one side.
A looping hook to the body misses from Obama. Badger does a little dance to reset his feet.
Obama takes a swing at Badger's ribcage but misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Badger looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Obama tries to kick Badger off in order to stand up. Badger Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Obama tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Badger misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Badger is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Obama is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Obama can't do much from the bottom here.

Badger tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Badger has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Badger has control of an arm but Obama manages to advance to Badger's back!

Badger manages to reverse the position and now he's in Obama's guard. Nice work there by Badger.

Obama is looking to get back to his feet here but Badger is keeping cool and he's managed to take Obama's back.

Obama wants to control his opponent's hands but Badger gets his hands free.

Obama trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Badger is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Obama is defending well though. Badger let's go of the attempt for now.

Obama rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Obama is looking for a sweep. Badger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Badger passes into side control, despite Obama's attempt to control the position.
Badger advances nicely into full mount.
Obama bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Obama scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Obama postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Badger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Obama doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Obama manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Obama looking to sit in guard and control but Badger gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Badger thumps Obama with a low kick.
Obama misses with a straight left.
Haywood Badger is winning the standup battle so far.
Obama takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Badger.
Badger lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Badger misses with a double jab.
A punch combination from Obama misses.
Obama shoots in but Badger avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Badger attempts a counter takedown but Obama avoids it well and moves away.
Obama is breathing heavily.
Obama tries to clinch up but Badger circles away and keeps his distance.
Badger swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Obama misses with a hook to the body
and Badger counters with a body kick that stops Obama in his tracks momentarily.
Badger throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Obama stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Badger throws out a loose jab but Obama uses good head movement to avoid it.
Obama moves away from the strike by Badger.

Badger throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Badger is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Obama can do to turn this around?
Nice takedown defense from Obama. No joy for Badger on that attempt.
Badger ducks right into an uppercut from Obama.
Obama on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Obama throws a series of punches but Badger avoids them all with ease.
Temitope Obama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obama bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Badger tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Obama is able to avoid easily.

and Badger counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Haywood Badger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Temitope Obama.
Obama takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


Obama is rocked!
Badger lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Obama is still on wobbly legs! Can Badger finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Obama throws a lazy head kick
enabling Badger to counter with a crisp jab.
Badger buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Obama misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Badger counters with a huge left! Obama is in big trouble! He's backing up but Badger isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Obama from any more damage. A dominating finish by Badger!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Haywood Badger!
After winning the bout, Haywood Badger thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
