The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Trevino.
Trevino fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Almeida checks it well.

Trevino throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Almeida counters with a nice double leg into side control. Trevino won't be happy with that.
Almeida thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Almeida working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trevino can do anything to dispel that myth.
Almeida is trying to get an arm triangle but Trevino is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Almeida is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Trevino knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Almeida has hold of Trevino's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Trevino seems comfortable defending it but Almeida has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Trevino is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Trevino is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Almeida couldn't care less - he's delighted!
