The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Carmichael momentarily.
Garcia missing with a left hand there. Carmichael was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Carmichael shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Garcia defends it nicely.

Carmichael moves into the clinch.
Carmichael tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Garcia avoids it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carmichael has Garcia pulled in close to control his posture.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Carmichael is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Garcia moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Garcia attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Carmichael closes the distance and clinches.

Carmichael manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Carmichael looking to hit a scissor sweep but Garcia is one step ahead there.

Carmichael working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garcia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Carmichael is tightening it up a little... Garcia has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Garcia reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Garcia taps out! Nice BJJ there by Carmichael !
