PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vice Versa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuki Masakazu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Versa comes to the cage accompanied by Unshakable (dedicated to victims and survivors of Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda. Masakazu has chosen Sepultura - Attitude as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Yuki Masakazu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuki Masakazu!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masakazu misses with a takedown attempt
and Versa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Versa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Versa wants it to stay on the feet.
Masakazu gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Versa.
Masakazu doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Versa counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Vice Versa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuki Masakazu.
Versa fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Masakazu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Versa to the mat! Versa manages to get full guard.
Versa throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masakazu works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Versa punching from the bottom.

Masakazu seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Versa is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Yuki Masakazu!
Post fight, Yuki Masakazu stared into the camera and said 'I'd like to thank my Jiu Jitsu teachers Shinya Aoki and Masakazu Imanari, I couldn't of done this without them!'.
Vice Versa was interviewed post fight and said 'I LIVE! I DIE! I WILL LIVE AGAIN!'.
