Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Holymoly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida has chosen Bleed it out - Linkin Park as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machida closes the distance and clinches.

Machida is nestled in close to Holymoly, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Machida closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holymoly is not content to let Machida control the position.

Machida stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Machida misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Machida looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Machida wants to control from the top but Holymoly keeps moving.

Machida looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Holymoly is fending him off so far but Machida persists. Nope, Holymoly circles away and we're back to standing.
