The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laguta stalks Cote and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cote's face. Cote staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Herbert Cote has been cut.

Laguta closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Laguta tries to pull guard but Cote forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Laguta is looking for a takedown.
Cote content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Laguta is pushing Cote up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
A frustrated look appears on Cote's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Laguta breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cote tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Laguta manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cote has managed to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Laguta jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cote walks away with a smile on his face. Laguta gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Herbert Cote has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artiom Laguta.
Cote wants to clinch up but Laguta keeps it at a distance.
Laguta will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cote thinks about countering with a head kick.
Laguta fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Cote fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Laguta, pushing him back against the cage.
Laguta fails to pull guard.

Laguta manages to break the clinch.
Good standup being displayed there by Laguta as he connects with a hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Laguta rushes Cote and presses him up against the cage.

Laguta breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Laguta lands a brutal head kick. Cote looks out on his feet and Laguta throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
