Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xander Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xander Cage had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Rick Teller has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xander Cage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Teller!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage drops his hands momentarily and Teller takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Teller lands a high kick!
Teller throws the left hand but Cage avoids the punch easily.
Cage is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Teller.
Teller misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Teller throws a sloppy head kick and Cage moves out of range easily.
Teller tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cage throws a big shot that misses.
Teller uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cage.
Teller throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Cage wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Cage throws a nice inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cage avoids the head kick by Teller.
Teller lands with a kick to the temple. Cage shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Teller pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cage is out of range and Teller settles back down.
Cage definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Teller gets tackled into the cage by Cage. Cage maintains the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Cage.
Cage lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Cage trying to land knees to the body.
Cage tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Cage lands a nice uppercut.
It looks like Rick Teller has been cut.
Nice body punch from Cage.
Cage can't find room to land a body shot as Teller controls the action.
Teller lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Teller looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Cage lands a hook that snaps the head of Teller backwards.
Teller blocking some punches.
Cage gets through Teller's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Cage lands a left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cage stalling.
Cage lands a nice uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cage keeps control of Teller as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Cage lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Teller backwards.
Teller is rocked!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Cage.
Teller is still on wobbly legs! Can Cage finish him?
Cage creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Teller with a big uppercut! Teller tries to clinch up but Cage pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Teller to the mat! Teller covers up and Cage unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Xander Cage!
