Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nycky Downtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stark comes to the cage accompanied by Sledgehammer!. Downtime has chosen Bring It as his entrance music. Nycky Downtime told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 34 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Nycky Downtime!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark dodges the punch combination from Downtime.
Stark throws a nice outside leg kick.
Stark thumps Downtime with a low kick.
Stark with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Downtime throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stark scores with a kick to the body.
Downtime tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stark goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Downtime throws out a counter right but Stark avoids it with no problem.
Stark looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A punch lands to the side of Downtime 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Downtime takes a jab right on the kisser.
Stark scores with a hook.
Downtime gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Downtime is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Downtime lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Downtime is still on wobbly legs! Can Stark finish him?
Stark throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Downtime! But no joy.
Downtime seems to have recovered his senses.

Stark misses with a head kick.
Stark scores with a hook to the body. Downtime takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Stark takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Steven Stark has been cut.

Downtime throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Stark stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Downtime follows into mount!
