Scott has chosen White Rabbit as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Coleman Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Scott!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott misses with a takedown
and Coleman Jr counters with a nice uppercut.
Coleman Jr swinging wildly here.
Scott wants to counter the offense by Coleman Jr and move into the clinch position.
Scott fails with the takedown
enabling Coleman Jr to counter with a crisp jab.
Coleman Jr fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Scott checks it well.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleman Jr jabs Scott to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Scott closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Coleman Jr quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coleman Jr controlling the position well.
Coleman Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Coleman Jr slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Scott trying to control but Coleman Jr is working from the bottom.
Scott wants to pass the guard but Coleman Jr is keeping the position.
Scott trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Scott postures up in Coleman Jr's guard and throws a big left but Coleman Jr blocks it.
Scott is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Scott working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Coleman Jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Scott can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Scott stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Coleman Jr throws up his legs and catches Scott in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Scott tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Coleman Jr! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mark Coleman Jr!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Mark Coleman Jr waved his t-shirt featuring Soul Supremacy Fight Gear's logo in front of the cameras.
