Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vaino Siitaari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vaino Siitaari has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Yang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vaino Siitaari!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Siitaari has taken the fight to the clinch.
Yang is working for takedown but Siitaari is calmly controlling the position for now.

Yang tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Siitaari smiles and moves away.
Siitaari tries to work over Yang's front leg with a kick but Yang checks it.

Siitaari feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Yang is looking to stand back up but Siitaari counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Yang.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Yang wants to improve his position but Siitaari is controlling well.

Siitaari is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yang defends it well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Siitaari tries to pass the half guard into mount. Yang knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Siitaari seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Siitaari decides to stand and escape the position.

Siitaari drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Yang is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Siitaari is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Siitaari cracks Yang with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yang could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Yang reaches up to try and control the position but Siitaari seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Yang rolls and tries to escape and now Siitaari has his back!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Vaino Siitaari dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Siitaari looks to land a body kick but Yang moved away.

Siitaari is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Yang's half guard.
Oh Yang is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Siitaari has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Siitaari lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Yang quite badly. Yang pulls Siitaari in close trying to recover. Siitaari postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Yang on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Yang doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vaino Siitaari!
