PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Canyonero The Truck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Stunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Truck comes to the cage accompanied by Canyonero. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stunner goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Canyonero The Truck has been cut.

The Truck closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The Truck controls the position from side control.
The Truck looks up at the clock and then as Stunner takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, The Truck smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The Truck controls the position.
The Truck misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
The Truck wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stunner keeps working.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stunner can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee asks The Truck politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. The Truck prefers to stall for the moment though.
The Truck wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stunner keeps working.

The Truck cracks Stunner with a big right hand but Stunner just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The Truck creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The Truck trying to control the action but Stunner is working from the bottom.
Stunner wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The Truck is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Stunner will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The Truck sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Stunner is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The Truck uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stunner.
The Truck darts in looking for a takedown but Stunner gets double underhooks and turns The Truck into the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stunner lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of The Truck backwards.
The Truck wants a takedown but no success here.
Stunner throws a blind hook that connects with the side of The Trucks head.
Stunner lands with a short shot to the head.
Stunner lands a hook to the side of the head.
Stunner slows down the pace here.
Stunner will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning The Truck up against the cage.
Stunner lands with a left to the head.

Stunner creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through The Truck's defenses.

Stunner makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Stunner drops The Truck onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! The Truck is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Oh The Truck is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stunner pushes The Truck against the cage. Stunner is working some dirty boxing. Stunner pushes off with a quick right hook! The Truck goes down! The Truck tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Stunner moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
