Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxwell Leach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxwell Leach has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maxwell Leach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Miller!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Miller - just one landing.

Miller has closed the distance and engaged Leach in a clinch.
Miller lands a hook to the side of the head.

Miller gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Leach regains guard.
Leach looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miller is one step ahead there.
Miller is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Leach lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miller working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Leach has passed into half guard!
Miller wants to get back to full guard but Leach has mounted him!

Miller tries to hold on but Leach pushes him away.
Miller is trying to stand.
Miller tries to lock up and control but Leach gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Leach really is a fat lump.
Miller holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Leach tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Miller regains half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Miller moves into range and clinches up with Leach.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Miller jumps into guard, dragging Leach to the mat.
Leach postures up in Miller's guard and throws a big left but Miller blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leach won't allow Miller to sweep him here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Miller holds on and takes a little breather.

Leach drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Leach jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Miller looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Leach has picked Miller up and slammed him! Miller can't keep hold of the triangle and Leach manages to pass to side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Miller gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Reggie Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leach throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Leach gets caught napping as Miller dives in and scores a takedown. Leach manages to retain guard.
Leach is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Miller engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Leach looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Miller is stalling in the full guard.
Leach has a closed guard, preventing Miller from standing up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Leach tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Miller dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Miller shoots in and gets a takedown into Leach's guard.

Leach is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
A bit of stalling here from Miller.
Miller lands a right hand.
Miller has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Miller lands a hook that snaps the head of Leach backwards.

Miller jumps guard.
Miller has control of Leach's left arm, preventing Leach from doing any damage.
Leach throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Miller. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Leach is looking to work some ground and pound but Miller has wrist control.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Miller is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Miller shoots in and bounces Leach off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Reggie Miller has got the better of the ground game so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Leach wants to sweep here but Miller controlling him for the moment.
Miller stays in close to Leach's body and controls the position.

Miller gets to his feet - Leach follows without any prompting.
Leach tries to move into range but Miller moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Miller drives through and clinches with Leach against the cage.

Miller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Miller darts in and clinches Leach up against the cage.

Miller manages to break the clinch.

Miller looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Leach tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Miller manages to move to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Leach tries to improve his position but instead Miller has taken his back!
Leach tries to escape the position.
Leach trying to control the action but Miller just sinks the hooks in.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Miller is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Leach covers up after that shot from Miller.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Miller changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leach looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Miller wants to stand but Leach has his arm trapped.
Leach tries to improve position but can't.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Miller has Leach up against the cage in a clinch.

Miller gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Miller is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Leach is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Miller looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Miller is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Leach sees it coming and defends easily.

Miller wants to stand up but Leach has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Leach is looking to improve his position.
Well, if Miller is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Reggie Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Miller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
