Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Petey Pablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azinho Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pablo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Raise up. Petey Pablo has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pablo misses with a body kick.
Solomon misses with a looping left.
Solomon takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Solomon is looking to land body kicks.
Solomon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pablo avoids it really well and circles away.
Solomon misses the shot to the body.
Pablo ducks under a wild hook from Solomon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pablo gets caught flat footed, as Solomon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Solomon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Solomon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pablo did well to prevent Solomon getting side control.

Solomon thows a huge punch but Pablo dodges it nicely.

Solomon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pablo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Solomon is controlling the pace.
Pablo is looking for a sweep. Solomon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've been informed that Solomon has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Solomon throws a right hand that Pablo ducks under and follows up with a left that Pablo also avoids with ease.
Pablo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

It looks like Azinho Solomon has been cut.
Solomon misses with a takedown attempt - Pablo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Solomon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Solomon staying out of range there.
Solomon is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Donk. Solomon catches Pablo right on the button with a cross.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Solomon misses with a hook. Pablo ducked under it nicely.

Solomon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Solomon's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pablo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Solomon scrambles back to his feet.
Solomon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pablo moves away.
Pablo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Solomon throws out the jab.
Pablo throws a leg kick but Solomon moved away.
Solomon shoots in for a takedown but Pablo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Solomon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pablo counters with a nice uppercut.

Pablo fires out a quick counter leg kick but Solomon just manages to avoid it.
Pablo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solomon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Pablo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Solomon motions for Pablo to come forward. Solomon throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Pablo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Solomon sprawling to the canvas! Solomon rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pablo finish him?!

Solomon is rocked!
Pablo steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Solomon. That one must have hurt.
Solomon is still on wobbly legs! Can Pablo finish him?
Pablo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Solomon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Solomon feints the counter takedown.
Solomon seems to have recovered his senses.
Solomon fails with a takedown attempt.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Azinho Solomon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Solomon throws a poor cross that misses
and Pablo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pablo circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Solomon drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Pablo follows Solomon to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
