The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Valencia has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Johnson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Johnson throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Valencia tumbling to the canvas!

It looks like Kareem Valencia has been cut.

Valencia keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.
Johnson throws an elbow that misses. Valencia uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnson's guard. Nice move by Valencia!
Johnson is wriggling around but Valencia manages to pass to half guard.

Johnson is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Valencia has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Johnson is tapping! This fight is all over!
