Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oko Poli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mongolia Heed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heed is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gentlelman. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oko Poli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mongolia Heed!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poli shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Heed as he avoids it easily.
Poli has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Heed shoots in and gets a takedown into Poli's guard.

Poli throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Heed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Heed got a little sloppy there for a moment and Poli has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Heed has managed to get both his arms back between Poli's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Poli had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Heed defends it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Poli has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Heed should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Poli has tightened it up now! Heed should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Oko Poli!
Oko Poli was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
