The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ciccone doesn't succeed with the takedown
and McHaggardy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ciccone misses with a takedown attempt
and McHaggardy counters with a stiff right hand.
Ciccone tries for a takedown but McHaggardy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Scottie McHaggardy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enrico Ciccone.
Ciccone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McHaggardy as he jumps to the side.

Ciccone fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McHaggardy sprawls well initially but Ciccone persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ciccone is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McHaggardy is just riding it out for now. Ciccone eventually gives up the hold.
McHaggardy wants to get back to full guard.
