PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bushido Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Shelmeko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Fuck With Me You Know I Got It. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a double jab
and Shelmeko counters with a left to the body.
Brown throws a lazy body kick

and Shelmeko counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brown won't be happy with that.
Brown is looking to get back to his feet here but Shelmeko is keeping cool and he's managed to take Brown's back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Shelmeko's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brown tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Shelmeko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brown is wriggling around trying to escape.
Shelmeko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Brown gets back to half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Shelmeko gets caught napping as Brown dives in and scores a takedown. Shelmeko manages to retain guard.
Brown stands and throws Shelmeko's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brown is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Shelmeko will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Shelmeko tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Brown presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Brown decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Shelmeko is looking to get back to is feet but Brown passes into side control.

Shelmeko seems a little lost for a moment, as Brown dominates the positioning.

Bushido Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

After the fight, Bushido Brown was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
