The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson tries a head kick but it misses.
Nelson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mike.
Mike thuds his right hand into Nelson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Roy Nelson has been cut.

Mike feints and then cracks Nelson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nelson down.

We've been informed that Mike has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Mike tries to bum rush Nelson with a series of wild strikes but Nelson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mike ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Mike moves into the clinch.

Mike throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nelsons head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nelson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mike breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mike throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mike lands a big head kick that sends Nelson tumbling to the mat! Mike takes a step backwards and waves Nelson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Mike throws a nice looking combination but Nelson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mike misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

As Mike looks to move away, Nelson throws a big counter combo bu Mike just gets out of the way.
A nice combination there by Mike.
Mike rushes Nelson and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Nelson is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Mike Piles on the pressure and Nelson crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
