The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Xande Shoyoroll has been cut.
Hughes cracks Shoyoroll with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Shoyoroll shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shoyoroll scores with the left hand. Hughes knows he should have avoided that one.
Shoyoroll takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hughes lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Shoyoroll gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Shoyoroll takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Shoyoroll has an Americana. Hughes didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shoyoroll is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shoyoroll hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Xande Shoyoroll really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Highland Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
