These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcin The Polish Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Polish Tyson shoots for a double leg takedown but Rush sprawls well. He's pushed The Polish Tyson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from The Polish Tyson.
Rush tries to counter with a takedown but The Polish Tyson is quick to defend against it.
Rush stuffs the takedown.
Split Rush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcin The Polish Tyson.
Rush looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rush wants to control but The Polish Tyson is keeping him busy.
Rush scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Rush slips a nice elbow through The Polish Tyson's hands, connecting with The Polish Tyson's forehead.

Rush drops an elbow to the side of The Polish Tyson's head.

Rush frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The Polish Tyson wants to hold on but Rush pushes him away.
BOOM! Rush connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rush postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked The Polish Tyson badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Rush around the waist but Rush pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Rush is the winner by TKO! Rush jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Split Rush!
Split Rush seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
