Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between BeeJay Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dimitri Aleksandrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aleksandrov has chosen Everydays the same as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aleksandrov throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like BeeJay Penn has been cut.
Aleksandrov tries to land a front kick but Penn steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Penn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Aleksandrov tries to close the distance and clinch but Penn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Penn closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Dimitri Aleksandrov has been cut.

Aleksandrov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Penn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Aleksandrov tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Penn stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Dimitri Aleksandrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Penn shoots in but Aleksandrov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Penn tries to get to full guard but Aleksandrov has control of the leg.

Penn shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Penn shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Penn slows the pace down in half guard.

Penn is keen to just control but Aleksandrov is a slippery customer.

Penn seems to be working for a kimura but Aleksandrov defends the submission attempt.

Well, if Penn is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Penn has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Aleksandrov defend it? Penn steps over the head and cranks it - Aleksandrov is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Penn!
