The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGready displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dudley.
McGready seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
McGready throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dudley keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Dudley tries to keep at a distance but McGready has taken the fight into the clinch.
Dudley is trying to break the clinch but McGready has him pressed against the cage.

McGready works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Dudley is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. McGready presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Dudley jumps guard but McGready stands there with Dudley around his waist. Dudley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

McGready's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dudley shoots in for a takedown but McGready shows good takedown defense.
Vince McGready has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Dudley.

McGready has Dudley up against the cage in a clinch.
Dudley wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

McGready gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Dudley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGready. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGready sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dudley's guard.
McGready is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
McGready moves to take his opponent's back.
