PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sairanix Lokren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and EA Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lokren comes to the cage accompanied by Beast. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Despite the aggression on Poe's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Poe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lokren as he jumps to the side.
Poe's coach down at Bobby B's Gem was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Poe's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Poe is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Lokren presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Poe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lokren lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
