Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deshawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalongi Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deshawn Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kalongi Rose!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Rose shoots in but no luck this time.
Rose tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jackson defends well and Rose ends up having to push Jackson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
No joy there for Rose, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rose dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Rose's head and hops out.
Rose looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Deshawn Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalongi Rose.
Jackson dives in for a single leg takedown but Rose sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Rose wants to counter with a clinch but Jackson pushes him away.

Jackson has Rose pressed against the cage, preventing Rose from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Rose is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Rose tries for a takedown but Jackson manages to get underhooks.

Rose jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Rose around his waist. Rose gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jackson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Rose stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rose wants it to stay on the feet.
Rose is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jackson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rose is fending him off so far but Jackson persists. Nope, Rose circles away and we're back to standing.

Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Rose is avoiding it.
Jackson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jackson.
Rose throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rose off to one side.
Rose throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
Jackson tries to clinch up but Rose circles away and keeps his distance.
Jackson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rose.

Rose takes the fight into the clinch.
Jackson is trying to drag Rose to the mat but Rose just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Jackson has control of Rose's left arm, preventing Rose from doing any damage.
Jackson looking for a sweep. Not yet Jackson, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rose decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jackson, up you get!

Jackson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jackson darts in looking for a takedown but Rose gets double underhooks and turns Jackson into the cage.
Rose wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.
Jackson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Jackson shoots in and drives through. Rose sprawls well.

Rose throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jackson was covering up waiting for the punch and Rose finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jackson manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Rose tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jackson just misses with a punch to the body.
Rose is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Jackson with a body shot.

Rose feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Rose changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rose stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Rose trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rose on the ground.

Rose throws a big elbow that misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rose with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rose wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Jackson is working an open guard so Rose takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Deshawn Jackson will probably get the nod.
That's time! Jackson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Rose shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Rose content to stall in guard here.

Rose decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Rose wants to clinch.
Jackson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rose manages to circle out of the way.
Rose changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Rose manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rose closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jackson to the mat! Jackson manages to get full guard.
Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rose's guard.

Rose is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well.
Rose not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jackson wants to stand but Rose is controlling his posture from full guard.
Jackson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Rose has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though.
Rose wants to sweep but no luck.
Jackson is stalling in the full guard.

Rose is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rose has his feet on Jackson's thighs here. He's pushed Jackson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jackson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
