The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kumlakar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Manning manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Manning doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Manning is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Manning holds on and takes a little breather.

Kumlakar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Joyo Kumlakar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kumlakar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Manning manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Manning tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Kumlakar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Manning sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Manning fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kumlakar manages to avoid it.
Kumlakar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Manning misses with a hook. Kumlakar ducked under it nicely.

Manning looks to land a right hand but Kumlakar moved out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kumlakar shoots in looking for a takedown. Manning tries to sprawl out of it but Kumlakar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Manning manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kumlakar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kumlakar shoots in and drives through. Manning sprawls well.
Kumlakar throws a leg kick but Manning sees it coming and moves out of range.
