The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogowski shoots in looking for a takedown. Carter tries to sprawl out of it but Rogowski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rogowski drives through with a takedown into guard.
Carter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rogowski is one step ahead there.
Rogowski postures up and lands a big shot to Carter's brow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rogowski wants to pass the guard but Carter is keeping the position.

Rogowski is working Carter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rogowski stands and throws Carter's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Rogowski scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Carter to see if he's OK.

Rogowski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Carter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rogowski is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rogowski takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rogowski can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carter is looking to escape.

Rogowski loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Carter scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Rogowski land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Rogowski stands and salutes the crowd.
