The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanatassa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Tanatassa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tanatassa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Marks's corner calls for a 1-2. Marks obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Tanatassa shoots in looking for a takedown. Marks tries to sprawl out of it but Tanatassa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Marks bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tanatassa's head backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tyran Marks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marks throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tanatassa throws a lazy right hand but Marks sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tanatassa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Marks digs a good hook to Tanatassa's body.
Tanatassa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Marks cracks a nice hook into Tanatassa's ribs.
Tanatassa rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Marks counters with a nice body shot.
Marks lands a jab to Tanatassa's midsection.
Marks scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Sultan Tanatassa has been cut.
Marks stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marks wants it to stay on the feet.

Marks gets caught flat footed, as Tanatassa shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Marks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanatassa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tanatassa drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Tanatassa as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Marks screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Tanatassa! Nice submission victory there!
