The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bright shoots in for a takedown but Leonardo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
It seemed like Leonardo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Bright darts in looking for a takedown but Leonardo gets double underhooks and turns Bright into the cage.
Leonardo throws out a counter right but Bright avoids it with no problem.
Bright ducks under a wild hook from Leonardo.
Bright throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Leonardo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Leonardo loads up on a big right hand but Bright slips the punch.
Leonardo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bright tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leonardo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bright takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bright staying out of range there.
Leonardo tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bright throws a head kick that misses.
Bright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bright drives through and clinches with Leonardo against the cage.
Bright drops down looking for an ankle pick but Leonardo pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamie Bright. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bright tries to move into range but Leonardo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Bright gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Bright tries to get into range but Leonardo steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Bright! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Leonardo scores the big KO victory!
