The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilson wants it to stay on the feet.
Machado shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wilson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Machado drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Machado jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Machado stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wilson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Machado has gone for a leg lock! Wilson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Machado's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Machado is adopting a defensive guard.

Wilson is pushing down on Machado's leg trying to pass to half guard. Machado is fighting to maintain full guard but Wilson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wilson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Machado escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wilson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Machado is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wilson defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Machado has an active guard here but Wilson has managed to pass into half guard.
Wilson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Machado's head.
Machado is not content to let Wilson control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Machado is looking for a triangle but Wilson pushes his legs off easily.

Wilson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Machado has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Wilson is looking to defend but Machado has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Wilson! Machado pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Wilson taps out and this one is all over!
