Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Osiris Wingate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wingate comes into the arena with In The End by Linkin Park blaring out of the sound system. Stevens has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. James Stevens has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Osiris Wingate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wingate throws a one two combo.
Nice shot lands for Wingate.
Wingate stuffs the takedown attempt from Stevens. Stevens gets slowly back to his feet.
A nice leg kick lands there from Wingate.
Wingate jabs at Stevens's body.

Wingate gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Stevens's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wingate will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wingate decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Wingate looks to land a combination but Stevens avoids it well.

Stevens tries to clinch there but Wingate circles away.

Wingate throws a right hand that Stevens ducks under and follows up with a left that Stevens also avoids with ease.
Stevens attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Wingate moves out of range as Stevens throws a body kick.

Wingate shoots in and bounces Stevens off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Wingate stands up and beckons Stevens to join him on the feet.
Stevens has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A slapping leg kick lands for Wingate.
Stevens on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Wingate. Wingate obviously looking to wear him down.
Stevens fails with the takedown
and Wingate cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The fighters circle momentarily. Wingate darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Wingate decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stevens is trying to control but Wingate passes into side control!
Wingate has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wingate decides to stand up, so the ref orders Stevens to his feet.

Wingate fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Stevens.
Wingate connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stevens moves out of range of the leg kick from Wingate.
A left and a right from Wingate both land. Nice combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wingate scores with a one two! Stevens had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Stevens is trying desperately to land a takedown but Wingate is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Stevens.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Wingate decides to stand back up. Wingate steps back and let's Stevens get back to his feet.

Wingate dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stevens. That did some damage!

Wingate shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wingate showed some decent athleticism there.
Wingate is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stevens can do to turn this around?

Wingate postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Stevens to stand up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wingate lands with a nice combination. Stevens backs away looking to recover.
Stevens takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Wingate lands with a hook. Stevens tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and Wingate counters with a three punch combo that has Stevens backing up. Stevens nods at Wingate to acknowledge the strikes.

Wingate throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Wingate throws a one two combo.
Wingate sizes up Stevens with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Stevens clinches but Wingate breaks the clinch

and Wingate counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wingate stalling.
Wingate working over Stevens with some ground and pound. Stevens looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Wingate is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Stevens is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Stevens is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Stevens keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's time! Wingate's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Wingate clobbers Stevens with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Stevens gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Stevens shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wingate counters with a left to the body.

Stevens takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wingate looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stevens takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Wingate connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Wingate scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stevens doesn't seem bothered though.

Wingate throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stevens stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Wingate throws a sloppy head kick and Stevens moves out of range easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wingate goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Wingate throws a series of punches but Stevens avoids them all with ease.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wingate.

Wingate scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Wingate lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stevens backs up against the cage.

Wingate closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
