Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rubin Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Chalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Landry gets caught flat footed, as Chalidov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Chalidov gets to his feet. Landry looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Chalidov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Landry looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Landry is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chalidov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Landry drops back looking for a leg! Chalidov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chalidov manages to kick Landry off! Landry jumps back into Chalidov's guard.
Landry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Chalidov has momentary wrist control but Landry slips an elbow through the middle.
Landry is fighting to break Chalidov's control of his arms but Chalidov is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Chalidov throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Landry escapes and throws Chalidov's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Chalidov is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Landry has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Chalidov looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Landry has picked Chalidov up and slammed him! Chalidov can't keep hold of the triangle and Landry manages to pass to side control!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chalidov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
