PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jim Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moka Moka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moka Moka told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jim Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Moka Moka!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Moka throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A clash of legs there as Dixon blocks the low kick.
Dixon was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Dixon definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Moka moves out of range of the strikes.
Moka feints the counter takedown.
Moka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dixon manages to avoid it.
Moka scores with a kick to the midsection.
Moka walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dixon checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
It looked like Dixon wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dixon's waist but Dixon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moka off to one side.

Moka shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dixon is trying to defend but Moka finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Moka is looking to take a break and control but Dixon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dixon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moka on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd cheers as Moka lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dixon doesn't seem phased though.

Dixon is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Dixon cracks Moka with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
