Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Benito Acero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Davor Suker!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Topper Green and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acero doesn't manage to clinch there - Suker circles away.
Suker swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Acero moves into the clinch successfully.
Suker is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Acero is defending well for now.
Suker tries to circle away but Acero has him pinned against the cage.

Acero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Acero closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Acero tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Suker's elbow.
Acero lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Acero pushes off an throws an elbow but Suker leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Acero definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Acero working hard to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Acero is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Suker throws an elbow but it misses.

Suker lands a right hand that snaps the head of Acero backwards.

Suker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Suker has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Acero is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Acero dodges the punch combination from Suker.
Suker takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Acero looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A combination from Suker does no damage.
Suker throws a right and a left that Acero avoids nicely.
Acero appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Suker scores with a head kick. Acero tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Suker tries to land a front kick but Acero steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Acero seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Suker misses with a body shot.

Acero moves into the clinch successfully.
Suker doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Acero controlling the action here for a moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Acero tries to land knees in the clinch but Suker avoids the damage to the body.

Acero using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Suker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Suker throws a punch but it's blocked by Acero.

Acero swings wildly with an uppercut but Suker uses good head movement to avoid it.

Acero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Acero is looking to clinch but Suker is avoiding it.
Acero moves in looking to clinch but Suker pushes him off.

Acero moves into range and clinches up with Suker.
Acero throws an elbow that misses.
Suker dodges an elbow strike from Acero.
Acero with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Suker lands a body shot.
Suker misses with an elbow over the top.
Suker lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.


It looks like Benito Acero has been cut.
Acero pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Acero breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Acero tries to clinch
and Suker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Acero tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Suker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Suker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Acero looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Suker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Suker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Acero is looking to clinch but Suker is avoiding it.

Suker tries to keep at a distance but Acero has taken the fight into the clinch.
Acero misses with a punch to the body.
Suker managing to block the knees to the body from Acero.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Davor Suker will probably get the nod.

Suker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Acero circles away quickly and effectively.
As Suker looks to move away, Acero throws a big counter combo bu Suker just gets out of the way.
Acero uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Suker.
Suker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Suker looks to land a body kick but Acero moved away.
Acero throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Suker.
Acero connects with a solid leg kick.
Suker throws a front kick that sends Acero stumbling back into the cage.
Suker keeps Acero at a distance using the push kick.
Suker throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Acero.
Acero tries to clinch up.
Acero tries to clinch up.
Suker scores with a hook.
Acero tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Suker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Benito Acero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Suker connects with a jab.
Suker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Suker connects with a right hand. Acero shakes it off.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Suker.
Suker throws a nice head kick!
Oh Acero is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Acero blocks the body kick.
Suker lands a leg kick that knocks Acero off balance momentarily.
Suker lands a nice looking body shot.
Suker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Suker thows a body kick. Acero tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Acero takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Suker cracks Acero with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Acero falls to his knees and Suker doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Davor Suker!
Davor Suker decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
