Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mouse has chosen Mickey Mouse clubhouse as his entrance music. Askren has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andy Askren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mickey Mouse!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mouse dives in and scores a takedown into Askren's guard.
Askren not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Askren looking for a sweep. Not yet Askren, not yet.
Mouse cracks Askren with a solid left hand.
Mouse throws an elbow that misses. Askren uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mouse's guard. Nice move by Askren!

Mouse working a defensive guard here.
Askren stops Mouse from standing up.
Askren trying to control the position from guard on top but Mouse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Askren trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Askren is breathing heavily.
Askren trying to control but Mouse is working from the bottom.

Mouse is pulling down on Askren's head. It's preventing any offense from Askren, at least for the moment.
Askren stops Mouse from standing up.

Askren stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Mouse gets tackled into the cage by Askren. Askren maintains the clinch.
Mouse is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Askren pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Askren jumps guard but Mouse stands there with Askren around his waist. Askren gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Askren breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mouse throws a series of strikes that have Askren backpedaling.


Andy Askren's cut is getting worse.
Askren takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Andy Askren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Askren throws a jab when Mouse was well out of range.

Mouse gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Askren tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mouse smiles and moves away.
Askren on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Mouse moves in looking to clinch but Askren pushes him off.

Askren misses with a takedown attempt
and Mouse counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Askren. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Askren with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mouse to score with a decent uppercut.


Andy Askren's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Mouse forces Askren back against the cage and clinches.
Askren gets underhooks to prevent Mouse's takedown attempt.
Mouse gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Askren.
Mouse wants to get back to striking at distance but Askren won't allow it.
Askren has Mouse pressed against the cage, preventing Mouse from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Askren misses with an uppercut
and Askren takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Mouse looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Askren has momentary wrist control but Mouse slips an elbow through the middle.
Askren keeping moving, preventing Mouse from controlling successfully.
Mouse is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Mouse lands a couple of elbows.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mouse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Askren. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Askren moves in looking to clinch but Mouse pushes him off.

Askren has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mouse uses from the top position.

Askren had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mouse defends it easily.

Mouse lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Askren on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Askren tries to get out of the position.
Mouse postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mouse tries to free his leg and advance position but Askren is retaining full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Askren looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Mouse fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Askren feinted with a counter takedown.

Oh Askren is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mouse connects with a single shot there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Mouse counters with a big right hand! Oh Askren is in trouble here! Mouse follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mickey Mouse!
As Mickey Mouse got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Come to the Mickey Mouse clubhouse for the after party!!'.
