The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macomb shoots in for a double leg but Cast sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Macomb throws a combination. Cast tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Cast tries to clinch but Macomb moves out of range.
Cast avoids a punch combination nicely.
Macomb looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cast scoring well with a low kick there.

Cast rushes Macomb and presses him up against the cage.
Cast lands an elbow just above Macomb 's eye.
Macomb tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cast smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willie Macomb. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cast catches Macomb napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Macomb to the canvas!

Macomb tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Cast presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cast sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Macomb is desperately trying to improve his position but Cast has a good base and remains in mount.

Cast wants to control the pace but Macomb is squirming around nicely.
Cast tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Macomb really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Macomb is squirming around, avoiding Cast's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cast prevents Macomb from getting the reversal.
Cast content just to control the position here.
Macomb tries to hold on but Cast postures up.
Cast tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Despite being in the dominant position, RJ Cast just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cast looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Macomb feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Macomb wants to control from the top but Cast keeps moving.
Cast bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Macomb's guard.

Macomb looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Cast passes into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cast stops Macomb from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
