Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Agustin Carlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Achilles Megalos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Megalos is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Opa Opa. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Megalos drives through with a takedown into guard.

Megalos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Megalos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Megalos drops back looking for a leg! Carlson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carlson manages to kick Megalos off! Megalos jumps back into Carlson's guard.

Megalos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Carlson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Megalos has Carlson in his guard.

Carlson wants to control from the top but Megalos keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Megalos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Carlson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Megalos is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Carlson is looking to stand up but Megalos won't let him.
Carlson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Megalos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Carlson wants to stand but Megalos has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Megalos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carlson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Megalos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carlson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carlson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Megalos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carlson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Carlson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Megalos on the ground.

Megalos is looking to cinch up a triangle. Carlson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Megalos's body to avoid the submission. Megalos has instead reached around Carlson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Megalos arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Achilles Megalos decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
