PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darth Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Nascimento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nascimento has chosen PROMENTORY as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Nascimento!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nascimento shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vader but Vader pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Vader doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Nascimento counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Vader manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nascimento manages to get himself to full guard.

Nascimento isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vader stacks Nascimento on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vader!
Nascimento is not content to let Vader control the position.
Nascimento manages to work his way to half guard, despite Vader's best efforts.

Nascimento is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Vader pulls his head out easily.

Vader prevents Nascimento from getting the reversal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vader wants to stand but Nascimento is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Nascimento reaches up and pulls Vader towards him, trying to control the position. Vader manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Nascimento! Nascimento tries to roll over - now Vader is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Nascimento has to tap out! Great work there by Vader!
