And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Duke Rage!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Rage with that takedown attempt.

Rage has managed to clinch.
Rage digs a right hand underneath Andrews's ribcage. Andrews let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Andrews gets underhooks to prevent Rage's takedown attempt.

Andrews breaks from the clinch.
Rage works the jab nicely.


It looks like Brent Andrews has been cut.

Rage clinches up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rage drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Andrews gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Brent Andrews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duke Rage.
Rage tries to land knees in the clinch but Andrews avoids the damage to the body.

Andrews is trying to push Rage away but Rage has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Rage is trying to drag Andrews to the mat but Andrews just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Andrews breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Andrews bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rage is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Rage's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Andrews lands a nice forearm strike.

Rage takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Rage tries to buck Andrews off but Andrews is having none of it.

Andrews tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Andrews really is a fat lump.

Andrews fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Rage shoots in for a takedown but Andrews shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rage throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Andrews.

Rage fails to pull guard.

Rage breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rage shoots in but no luck this time.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Andrews is defended easily by Rage.

Rage wants to get back to striking at distance but Andrews won't allow it.

Rage jumps guard but Andrews turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Andrews decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rage, up you get!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Andrews leaves Rage with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Andrews thinks about countering with a head kick.

Rage's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Andrews drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Rage has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Andrews is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rage goes for a takedown attempt but Andrews pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Rage has closed the distance and engaged Andrews in a clinch.

Rage has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Andrews avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Rage prevents Andrews from breaking the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Andrews takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Rage has had enough of the clinch but Andrews keeps him there for the moment.

Andrews ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Andrews no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Rage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andrews swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Andrews might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rage clinches up with Andrews and pushes him back against the cage.

Rage pulls guard effortlessly.

Andrews avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Andrews decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Andrews fails to land the takedown.

Duke Rage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Rage winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
