Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamarcus Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poe wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.
Poe fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Johnson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Poe because Johnson loaded up on that one.

Johnson working for a guillotine from mount but Poe is in no mood to give up.
Johnson avoids the attempt from Poe to control.
Johnson landing strikes from the mount and Poe is in trouble!
Johnson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Johnson tries to control but Poe wriggling away.

Johnson has control of Poe's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Poe regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Johnson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Poe has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Poe!
Johnson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Poe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Johnson looks gassed!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Poe trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Johnson has his foot on Poe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Poe works his way back into a safe position though.
Johnson controls Poe momentarily but Poe frees himself.
Johnson pulls Poe in close to prevent any damage.

Johnson is looking for a triangle here but Poe uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poe trying to control the action but Johnson is working from the bottom.

Poe is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Johnson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Poe blocks the strikes from Johnson.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Johnson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Poe's best efforts.
Johnson gets full guard.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Poe from controlling successfully.

Poe wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
Poe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Johnson feints and as Poe raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Poe swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Poe is in trouble now - Johnson has advanced to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson is landing with some decent strikes but Poe is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
