Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Diablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Rodinerio Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bravo has chosen Damian Marley - Confrontation as his entrance music. Joey Rodinerio Bravo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bravo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Diablo has managed to free his arm - good work.
Diablo manages to get to full guard.
Bravo wants to control from the top but Diablo keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bravo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diablo is keeping the position for now.
Diablo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Diablo keeping moving, preventing Bravo from controlling successfully.
Diablo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bravo looking to pass the guard.
Bravo works a leg free and moves into half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Diablo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bravo defends it easily.
Bravo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Diablo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bravo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bravo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bravo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Diablo can't keep his opponent in guard - Bravo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bravo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Diablo!
Bravo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Diablo is looking to escape.
Diablo is trying to escape the mount but Bravo keeps good control and instead manages to take Diablo's back.
Bravo tightening his grip on Diablo, looking for the choke.
Bravo is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Diablo is defending well though. Bravo let's go of the attempt for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bravo is looking for a choke. Diablo gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Diablo manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Bravo is trying to keep Diablo in close.
Diablo trying to control the position from guard on top but Bravo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Diablo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bravo lands a takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Diablo is on top in guard.
Diablo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Diablo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Diablo wants to control from the top but Bravo keeps moving.
Diablo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Diablo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bravo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Diablo has managed to get both his arms back between Bravo 's legs - danger averted.
Diablo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Diablo trying to control the action but Bravo is working from the bottom.
Bravo tries to get to full guard but Diablo has control of the leg.
Diablo wants to take a breather but Bravo is having none of it.
Joey Rodinerio Bravo has got the better of the ground game so far.
Diablo seems to be working for a kimura but Bravo defends the submission attempt.
Bravo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Diablo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bravo defending well though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bravo works his way to full guard. Good work.
Diablo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bravo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bravo trying to keep a closed guard but Diablo is proving a slippery customer.
Bravo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diablo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diablo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bravo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Diablo has his hands clasped together but Bravo extends and breaks Diablo's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bravo .
