Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khalidov comes to the ring accompanied by Mamed - CoreMoon. Materla has chosen Sobota - Do góry łeb as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khalidov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Materla looking for a sweep but Khalidov has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Materla regains half guard.
Materla makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Materla.
Khalidov wants to pass the guard but Materla is keeping the position.

Materla escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Khalidov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khalidov tries to free his leg and advance position but Materla is retaining full guard.

Materla has his foot on Khalidov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Khalidov works his way back into a safe position though.

Materla is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Materla bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Khalidov tries to buck Materla off but Materla is having none of it.

Materla goes for an armbar but Khalidov turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Khalidov.

Khalidov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Khalidov has hold of Materla's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Materla seems comfortable defending it but Khalidov has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Materla is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Materla is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Khalidov couldn't care less - he's delighted!

A very excited looking Mamed Khalidov rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
