The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins jabs Garrett to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Garrett definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Garrett tries for a takedown but Jenkins sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Garrett tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jenkins.

Garrett bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Garrett finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Jenkins wants to counter with a clinch but Garrett pushes him away.
Garrett throws a lazy right hand but Jenkins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Jenkins changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Jenkins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Garrett is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jenkins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Garrett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jenkins has managed to get both his arms back between Garrett's legs - danger averted.

Jenkins wants to pass the guard but Garrett is keeping the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Garrett tries a head kick but it misses.
Garrett throws out a loose jab but Jenkins uses good head movement to avoid it.
Garrett shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jenkins defends it nicely.

Jenkins slips a straight right by Garrett.

Jenkins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Garrett pushes Jenkins off looking to stand but Jenkins dives back in and keeps control.
Jenkins is looking to take a break and control but Garrett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jenkins tries to pass to full mount but Garrett defends it.
Jenkins is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
