Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claus Clausen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Clausen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Claus Clausen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clausen moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Clausen swings for the body but Freeman moves out of range.

Freeman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Clausen's waist but Clausen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Freeman off to one side.
Freeman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Clausen pinned against the cage. Clausen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Freeman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Clausen lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Clausen catches Freeman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Clausen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Freeman stands up from Clausen's guard - Freeman perhaps looking for a knockout.

It seemed like Clausen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Clausen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Freeman's head backwards.
Freeman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Clausen's guard.
Freeman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Clausen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Clausen has escaped and now he's on top!
Clausen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Freeman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Freeman looking for a guillotine here but Clausen defends easily.
Freeman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Freeman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Freeman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Freeman tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Clausen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Freeman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Clausen has managed to get both his arms back between Freeman's legs - danger averted.
