Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Ambrose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomomi Tsuruta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ambrose comes to the cage accompanied by dean ambrose theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dean Ambrose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tomomi Tsuruta!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ambrose throws a right hand that Tsuruta ducks under and follows up with a left that Tsuruta also avoids with ease.
Tsuruta tests Ambrose's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Dean Ambrose has been cut.
Ambrose fails with a takedown attempt.
Decent striking displayed by Tsuruta there.
Tsuruta lands with a nice body punch.
Ambrose shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Ambrose rushes Tsuruta and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tsuruta's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Ambrose can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dean Ambrose. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ambrose tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tsuruta smiles and moves away.
Tsuruta scores with the left hand. Ambrose knows he should have avoided that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ambrose misses with a two punch combination.
Tsuruta lunges at Ambrose with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ambrose's hand.
Ambrose is breathing heavily.

Ambrose darts in and clinches Tsuruta up against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tsuruta creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ambrose is rocked!

Dean Ambrose's cut is getting worse.
Tsuruta makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Oh Ambrose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tsuruta gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tsuruta scores with a big shot! Ambrose's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Ambrose! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
