Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michal Uderzacz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fuyuki Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michal Uderzacz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fuyuki Yamamoto!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Uderzacz lands with a cross.
Uderzacz misses with a hook
and Yamamoto counters with a three punch combo that has Uderzacz backing up. Uderzacz nods at Yamamoto to acknowledge the strikes.
Yamamoto blocks a jab.
Uderzacz looks to score with a jab to the body but Yamamoto is just out of range.

Uderzacz loads up on a big right hand but Yamamoto slips the punch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been told by Uderzacz's head coaches at Cozad MMA Tokyo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Uderzacz throws the left hand but Yamamoto avoids the punch easily.
Michal Uderzacz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yamamoto blocks a jab.
Uderzacz throws a lazy right hand but Yamamoto sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Yamamoto darts in and clinches Uderzacz up against the cage.

Uderzacz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Michal Uderzacz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yamamoto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Uderzacz swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Yamamoto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Uderzacz is one step ahead there.

Yamamoto is controlling Uderzacz's posture.
Yamamoto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Uderzacz won't allow Yamamoto to get back to his feet.
Yamamoto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Uderzacz tries to kick Yamamoto off but Yamamoto keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Uderzacz avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Yamamoto.
Uderzacz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yamamoto on the ground.

Uderzacz looks to throw the jab but Yamamoto is out of range.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Uderzacz looks to land a combination but Yamamoto avoids it well.
Yamamoto misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Yamamoto jabs Uderzacz to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Yamamoto shoots in looking for a takedown but Uderzacz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Yamamoto's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Uderzacz takes a swing at Yamamoto's ribcage but misses.
Fuyuki Yamamoto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Yamamoto ducks right into an uppercut from Uderzacz.
Uderzacz leaves Yamamoto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Uderzacz sprawls well. Uderzacz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Yamamoto gets slowly back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Uderzacz connects with a body shot that sends Yamamoto's belly button to the back.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Yamamoto.
Uderzacz jabs Yamamoto right on the nose. Yamamoto blinks but takes it well.

Uderzacz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Yamamoto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Uderzacz pinned against the cage. Uderzacz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jab, jab by Uderzacz - just one landing.
No joy there for Uderzacz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yamamoto takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Yamamoto darts in and clinches Uderzacz up against the cage.
Yamamoto jumps guard but Uderzacz stands there with Yamamoto around his waist. Yamamoto gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Uderzacz is trying to break the clinch but Yamamoto has him pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Uderzacz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Yamamoto was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Uderzacz tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Yamamoto has isolated one of Uderzacz's arms. Uderzacz looking to fight him off but Yamamoto twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
