Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Morton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daud Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daud Jordan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sterling Morton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daud Jordan!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jordan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jordan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Morton moves into the clinch successfully.

Jordan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jordan manages to end up in side control.
Morton bucks up and tries to throw Jordan off but instead Jordan has got his back!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Morton is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jordan has good solid back control here.
Morton is trying to break free.

Morton rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Morton is looking for a sweep. Jordan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jordan passes into side control, despite Morton's attempt to control the position.
Morton tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jordan presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Morton keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Jordan has Morton's back but decides to stand back up... Obviously he fancies his chances in the standup department!

Jordan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Morton sneaks out the side door and pushes Jordan away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Morton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jordan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jordan stands up from Morton's guard - Jordan perhaps looking for a knockout.

Morton shoots in and gets a takedown into Jordan's guard.

Jordan pushes Morton off and scrambles back to his feet.

Jordan gets the takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Daud Jordan will probably get the nod.
That's time! Morton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Jordan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Morton gets back to full guard.

Morton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jordan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jordan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Morton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jordan manages to get himself to full guard.

Morton really is a fat lump.
Morton is looking to work some ground and pound but Jordan has wrist control.

Morton decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jordan, up you get!

Morton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jordan's guard.

Jordan has his feet on Morton's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Morton tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Jordan easily slips into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jordan has decided that he can't make progress quickly enough from the back position and has rather unusually decided to stand up from the dominant position. Obviously he's going to be looking for the knockout on the feet here!

Jordan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Morton tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jordan is in Morton's guard.
Daud Jordan has got the better of the ground game so far.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Morton is in all sorts of trouble here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jordan stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Jordan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Morton on his heels. He'll look to pass Morton's guard now, I'm sure.

Morton is working an open guard so Jordan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Daud Jordan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Morton lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Jordan has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Morton is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Morton tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Morton tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Jordan stands and steps away. Morton gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Jordan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Morton is looking to improve his position but Jordan isn't that keen on the idea.

Jordan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jordan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jordan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Morton's guard.

Morton manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Jordan is trying to trip Morton. He has hold of a leg but Morton is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jordan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Jordan won't allow Morton to get back to his feet.
Morton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Morton looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Daud Jordan.
I've got Jordan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
