The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Piras.

It looks like Nate Newman has been cut.
Piras jabs Newman to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Newman takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Newman looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Piras scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Newman doesn't seem bothered though.
Piras throws a looping overhand right but Newman ducks down to avoid it.
Newman misses with a hook
and Piras counters with a right hand to the body.
Newman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Piras.
Piras chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Newman can pounce on him.
Newman blocks a jab.
Newman half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Newman swings for the body but Piras moves out of range.
Newman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Piras throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Newman seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Newman lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Piras has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Piras and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Piras swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Newman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Piras.
Piras avoids a punch combination nicely.
Piras thows a left - swing and a miss!
Piras wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A nice inside leg kick there by Piras. That's going to slow Newman down.
Piras digs a good body shot into Newman's ribs.
Newman is breathing heavily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Piras throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Newman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Piras ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Newman moves away.
Newman takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Piras lands a really nice looking cross but Newman seems unphased.

Piras lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Newman - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Piras!
