The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beanington throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rogowski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Rogowski landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Rogowski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Beanington wants to get back to his feet.

Rogowski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Rogowski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beanington is just riding it out for now. Rogowski eventually gives up the hold.

Rogowski looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Beanington with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rogowski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Beanington defends it well.
Rogowski maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Beanington could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Rogowski has cracked it and Beanington is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Rogowski!
