Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Verner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacob Verner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zach Allen!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen clinches up with Verner and pushes him back against the cage.
Verner drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Allen gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Allen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Verner has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Allen is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Verner creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Allen is looking for a takedown.
Allen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Verner blocks it with crossed arms.
Verner scores with a nice hook to the head.
Verner has had enough of the clinch but Allen keeps him there for the moment.
Allen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Verner has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Verner avoids a wild elbow strike from Allen.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A frustrated look appears on Verner's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Allen throws an elbow but it misses.

Allen tries to throw a body punch but Verner avoids it by throwing Allen back against the cage.
Verner misses with a hook to the ribs.
Allen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Verner has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Verner looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Allen is trying to maintain the position but Verner is very close to passing his half guard.
Allen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Verner is keen to just control but Allen is a slippery customer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Allen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Verner is working away from the top position though.
Allen is refusing to be controlled, as Verner sits in half guard.
Allen is trying to control but can't.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Allen avoids the head kick by Verner.
Both fighters circling a little - Verner finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Verner shoots in for a takedown but Allen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacob Verner will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Allen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Verner has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Allen clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
