Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nir Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esteban Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott has chosen Scotty Doesn't Know as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nir Sosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Esteban Scott!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sosa.

and Scott counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sosa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sosa wants it to stay on the feet.
Sosa attempts a counter takedown but Scott avoids it well and moves away.

Scott tries to close the distance and clinch but Sosa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

My spies in Hey Steves Fight Shack inform me that Scott has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Sosa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Scott doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Scott manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Scott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sosa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scott has managed to get both his arms back between Sosa's legs - danger averted.
Sosa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Scott's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Scott has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sosa doesn't defend quickly enough and Scott has managed to lock this one up! Can Sosa escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Scott on a fantastic submission victory.
